We’re pretty sure you’ve heard of Brexit, it means on January 31st. this year, the UK leaves the European Union of countries (EU).
It brings many changes including how we pay our tax on sales made to fans in EU countries. (This sounds boring we know but bear with us, particularly if you live in countries like France and Germany).
Currently, like other indie download stores, we’re able to report our tax pretty easily within the UK but Brexit means we would need to register with an EU country and pay what we owe this route.
Sadly we have decided – due to the number of sales we make to European Union countries and the extra work now involved in reporting tax owed – we will no longer sell downloads to fans in EU countries from January 31st.
It was not an easy decision to make and we apologise to fans affected but we are a very small business and ultimately it is out of our control.
To make it clear, we are stopping download sales to European Union countries – its business as usual within the UK, to North America, Australia, Canada, Japan and many other non-EU countries.
Customs sales remain unaffected, so fans in EU countries can still get their scripts filmed by us.
To our fans in Europe, thank you for reading, thank you for your understanding and a massive thank you for your support.
